So, I went out and found this way cool — in a tacky, retro sorta way — wrapping paper that looks like the ScotchTape™, tartan plaid background for their logo. (I’m a graphic designer, this is the crap that fascinates me.) Anyway, point is, I just caught myself trying to match up the perfect little pattern grids and lines of the plaid as I folded the paper around the gifts. I was even lining up the 45s at the short ends! How anal is that?

I am a Gemini! This is not something I’m supposed to do. I admit that I’ve heard tell of people who routinely obsess over this very thing. But I have never been one of them!

Immediately I am asking myself what this means. So I’ll as you instead. How obsessive a gift wrapper are you? and what does this mean?

We’re chatting and hanging out at the bar. This guy comes up to me, puts his arm around my shoulder, gets way to close and says… “mmm, you wear the same perfume as my wife.” WTF? I told him I was happy to serve as a reminder that he was in fact married, and that he should stop touching me. Of course, he got mad and walked away.

My question is this: If you open with a line like that, what right do you have to get mad? Now, please DO walk away, but angry? At me? Grow up, finish your beer and go home to your wife. Why she would still be around waiting for you I can’t say, but I do know that you’re not going to find anyone else to tolerate your porcine behavior.

I wish I could say that this was unbelievable. Unfortunately, it is not.

I have no idea what I’m going to say in this space, but I’m sure somthing will come to mind.

Here’s a quick “about me” so you’ll know who you’re dealing with. I’m a 40 year old divorced mother of one. Politically, I’m liberally bent. Not so great for a woman in the south, but I’ll survive. It’s better than the alternative. Worse still, I make my living as an artist.

So that’s about all I can tell you for now; not much to say until something comes to mind or pisses me off. I’ll just leave you with one of my favorite quotes…
